San Diego Central Jail offers in-person social visits and video visits. Schedule in-person visits by calling (619) 409-5000, Wednesday through Sunday, 6:30am to 6:00pm. There are no visits on Tuesdays or Wednesdays, and social visits are 30 minutes. Video visits run seven days a week and are booked one day ahead through SmartInmate at smartinmate.com.

Social visits are 30 minutes, and up to 3 visitors, including children, are allowed per visit. Visitors 18 and over must show valid ID, and minors must be with a parent or legal guardian.
Video visits run seven days a week and are 30 minutes. Each person may have two video visits per week. Create an account and book at least one day ahead through SmartInmate at smartinmate.com. There are no same-day visits.
