What You Need Before You Send
Get the inmate’s DC number from the FDOC Offender Search at dc.state.fl.us/OffenderSearch/Search.aspx. You need it for every deposit, no matter which method you use.
Option 1: Send Money Online
Go to CorrectPay.com/Florida and create an account. Select Send Money. Enter the inmate’s DC number and last name. Choose your payment method, either a debit card, credit card, or linked bank account, and enter the amount. You will see the service fee before confirming. Online deposits are usually the fastest option, often posting to the inmate’s account within a few hours to one business day.
Option 2: Send Money by Mobile App
Download the Correct Pay Mobile App from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Create an account or log into an existing one. The app walks you through the same steps as the website: enter the DC number, choose an amount, and confirm the fee. The mobile app is convenient if you want to check balances or send repeat deposits from your phone.
Option 3: Send Money by Phone
Call (855) 836-3364. Have the inmate’s DC number, payment information, and amount ready. Phone transactions may carry a higher fee than online deposits, so compare the fee disclosure before confirming.
Option 4: Send Money Through Money Order
Mail a money order to:
Correct Pay / FDC Inmate Deposits
PO Box 25900
Bradenton, FL 34206-5900
Write the inmate’s full name and DC number on the money order. Include a copy of your valid government-issued ID. FDOC assesses a bank processing fee for this method. Money orders sent by mail take the longest to post, since they must go through USPS transit plus processing time before the funds appear on the account.
Fees and Processing Times
| Method | Typical Processing Time | Notes |
|---|
| Online (CorrectPay.com) | Hours to 1 business day | Fastest option, fee shown before confirming |
| Mobile app | Hours to 1 business day | Same network as the website |
| Phone | Hours to 1 business day | May carry a higher fee than online |
| Money order by mail | Several business days | Slowest option, includes mail transit time |
Exact fee amounts can change. Always confirm the current fee schedule on CorrectPay.com/Florida or by calling (855) 836-3364 before sending.
What Funds Cover
Deposits cover commissary purchases, phone prepaid credit, and approved program fees. If ConnectNetwork/AdvancePay phone credit is handled as a separate account from commissary spending, you may need to fund both accounts separately depending on how the inmate wants to use the money.
Account Limits and Restrictions
FDOC may apply limits to how much can be held in an inmate’s trust account or deposited within a given period. These limits exist to comply with state policy on inmate funds. If a deposit is rejected for exceeding a limit, call (855) 836-3364 for the current limit and guidance.
Court-Ordered Restitution and Holds
If the inmate has court-ordered restitution, fines, or other financial obligations, a portion of incoming deposits or existing trust account balances may be subject to withholding under Florida law. This is separate from the standard deposit process and is handled by FDOC’s financial services, not by Correct Pay.
Troubleshooting a Failed Deposit
If money does not appear within the expected timeframe, check that the DC number matches the inmate exactly. Log into your Correct Pay account online or in the app to confirm the transaction shows as completed, not pending or failed. If the deposit still does not appear after a few business days, call (855) 836-3364 with your transaction confirmation details ready.
What Happens When the Inmate Transfers
The trust account balance usually moves with the inmate across FDOC facilities, so you should not need to open a new account if the inmate is moved to a different Florida state prison. For transfers to a non-FDOC facility, such as a return to county jail or an out-of-state transfer, call (855) 836-3364 for guidance on how the balance is handled.
Is Phone Credit the Same as Commissary Money?
Not necessarily. Depending on how the facility structures accounts, commissary spending and phone credit through ConnectNetwork/AdvancePay may draw from the same trust account balance or may require separate funding. Check with Correct Pay customer service or the inmate directly to confirm how funds are allocated at Apalachee C.I.
