How Phone Calls Work at Caswell

Caswell Correctional Center uses ViaPath/GTL for all outgoing resident phone calls. Calls go through the ConnectNetwork platform. The rate is $0.10 per minute with a 15-minute cap per call.

The resident initiates the call from a facility phone. They can only call numbers on their approved phone list. Before you can receive a call, your number must be added to that list and you need a ConnectNetwork account set up on your end.

Setting Up Your ConnectNetwork Account

Step 1. Create an Account

Go to ConnectNetwork.com and create a free account. Use your real name and a valid email address.

Step 2. Add Your Phone Number

Add the phone number you want the resident to call. This is the number that must match what is on their approved call list at the facility.

Step 3. Add Funds (Optional for AdvancePay)

If the resident does not have funds in their trust account, you can prepay for calls through an AdvancePay account. Call 800-483-8314 to set up AdvancePay. Otherwise, calls draw from the resident’s trust account. See the send money guide to add funds.

Step 4. Wait for the Call

The resident calls when they have phone access at the facility. Calls come in as collect calls from the facility. Accept the call and your account is charged at $0.10 per minute.

Monitoring and Recording

All calls from Caswell Correctional Center are monitored and recorded by NC DAC. Do not discuss anything on a call that you would not want heard by facility staff or law enforcement.
