Option 1. Online at ConnectNetwork.com

Go to ConnectNetwork.com. Create a free account or log in. Search for Catawba Correctional Center, enter the person’s full legal name and OPUS number, choose an amount, and pay with a debit or credit card. A service fee applies and is shown before you confirm. Online fees range from $2.48 to $8.16 depending on the amount.

Option 2. By Phone

Call the ConnectNetwork Trust line at 888-428-1845. Follow the prompts to make a deposit. For AdvancePay phone deposits, call 800-483-8314 instead. Phone deposit fees range from $3.27 to $8.95.

Option 3. Western Union

Use Western Union code NCDAC TRUST. You can complete Western Union transfers online at westernunion.com or at a Western Union agent location. The fee is $3.00.

Send a money order payable to TouchPay Holdings LLC. Mail it to:

TouchPay Holdings LLC PO Box 174 Houston, TX 77001-0174

Include the person’s full legal name and OPUS number on the money order and in a cover note. Money orders carry no service fee.

What You Always Need

You need two things for every deposit method:

  1. The person’s full legal name (as it appears in NC DAC records)
  2. Their OPUS number

Who Can Deposit

Only approved visitors may deposit money to a resident’s account at NC DAC facilities. If you are not on the approved visitor list, your deposit may be rejected. Start the visitor application process by asking the resident to mail you a blank form. See the visitation guide for details.

What the Money Is Used For

Funds go into the resident’s trust account. They can use it for:

  • Commissary items: food, hygiene products, stationery, and other approved goods
  • Phone time through ViaPath/GTL (see the phone calls guide)
  • Other authorized purchases approved by NC DAC

At Catawba, residents in the work release program also earn wages from their private-sector jobs. Those wages supplement the trust account and are managed through NC DAC accounting for family support and restitution payments.

Troubleshooting a Failed Deposit

If a deposit does not appear on the resident’s account within the expected timeframe:

  • Check that you entered the correct OPUS number and full legal name
  • Confirm you are an approved visitor on their list
  • Contact ConnectNetwork support at 877-650-4249
  • Call Catawba Correctional Center at (828) 466-5521 if the issue is not resolved

What Happens to the Money If They Transfer

If the resident transfers to another NC DAC facility, funds in their trust account generally follow them. Contact ConnectNetwork at 877-650-4249 or call the new facility for confirmation.
