Window Visits, First Come First Served

Family visits are window visits on a first come, first served basis, on days set by building:

Building	Days	Hours
Buildings 2 and 5	Wednesday and Saturday	10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Buildings 3 and 4	Thursday and Sunday	10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Infirmary	Friday	10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 5 p.m.

The county posts cancellations on its corrections site, so check it on the day.

ID

Government photo ID with your current address. With a passport, also bring a current phone, cable or utility bill.

Children

A birth certificate for every minor. Anyone other than a parent or guardian also needs a notarized letter.

What to Wear

Dresses, skirts and shorts knee length. No hoodies, jackets, ripped jeans, crop tops or sheer clothing. No hats or scarves unless religious.

Two Visiting Days a Week

Each building visits on two set days. On the other five, Pigeonly gets a letter to Essex faster than the post can, because it is printed at the Pigeonly Corrections center instead of mailed to it.
