None of it is delivered to the incarcerated person as physical paper anymore. Instead, it’s mailed to a centralized processing center, scanned there, and delivered to the person electronically on a tablet.
Address all personal letters, photos, and cards to:

Write the inmate’s full name and their AIS number exactly as shown. Your own full name and physical address must be clearly written in the top left corner of the envelope. Find the AIS number using the ADOC inmate locator if you don’t already have it.
This is the most common mistake families make with this new system. Personal mail sent to Ventress’s own street address, Hwy 239 N, Clayton, AL 36016, after November 10, 2025 is returned to sender. The San Antonio PO Box above is the only correct address for letters, photos, drawings, and cards now.
