What are LAC's visiting hours?
Friday 12:30pm to 6:30pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9:00am to 3:00pm. Visitors arriving after 5:00pm on Friday or after 1:30pm on weekends are not processed. Call (661) 729-2000 to confirm before you travel.

Can I schedule a visit by phone or email?
No. LAC does not accept phone or email requests to schedule a visit. Every appointment must be booked through the statewide Visitation Scheduling Application (VSA) at cdcr.gtlvisitme.com/app.

Do I need to fill out a visitor application form?
Yes. CDCR Form 106, the Visitor Questionnaire, must be signed by the incarcerated person and mailed in for a background check before you can be approved to visit. We didn't find a facility-specific handbook or a separate LAC visitor form beyond this standard CDCR process.

What's the mailing address for LAC?

What is California State Prison, Los Angeles County?
California State Prison, Los Angeles County (LAC) is a CDCR men's institution in Lancaster, the first and only state prison built in Los Angeles County. It houses Level I, III, and IV inmates across a Minimum Support Facility and four housing facilities (A, B, C, D), including a 100-cell Administrative Segregation Unit and a Correctional Treatment Center. LAC also provides Disability Placement Program housing, mental health care through CCCMS and Enhanced Outpatient Program levels, and runs Prison Industry Authority laundry and soap manufacturing plus vocational programs.
