Is SATF the same facility as California State Prison, Corcoran?
No. Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison, Corcoran (SATF) and California State Prison, Corcoran (CSP-Corcoran) are 2 separate CDCR institutions that happen to sit in the same city. They have different addresses, different phone numbers, and different visiting and mailing processes. Make sure you have the right one before you plan a visit or send mail.

Friday 12:00pm to 6:15pm, Saturday 8:30am to 2:45pm, and Sunday 8:30am to 2:45pm. Walk-in visiting has its own separate windows, so check the visitation guide before you plan your trip.

Q
Do I need a visitor application form?
Yes. CDCR Form 106, the Visitor Questionnaire, must be signed by the incarcerated person and mailed in for a background check. We didn't find a SATF-specific handbook, but we did confirm the statewide Minor Consent Form applies here for minors visiting with a non-parent adult.

Is Facility E open for visits right now?
As of CDCR's June 18, 2026 update, Facility E is open for visits but was dealing with HVAC issues, with measures being taken to cool the area. This is an operational note that can change, so if you're visiting someone in Facility E, it's worth calling ahead to confirm current conditions.
