Go to apps.sheriff.org/arrestsearch. Enter the person’s last name and first name. If you know the booking date, add it to narrow the results. Submit the search.

What the Results Show

Each result includes:

• Arrest number
• Full name
• Sex
• Current BSO facility

Clicking into a specific record may show a mugshot, booking date, charges, and bond amount, depending on what BSO currently displays. Write down the arrest number. You may need it when calling the facility about money, phone setup, or mail.

Why Someone Might Not Appear, or Might Move Quickly

Recent arrest: Booking information can take time to appear after an arrest. If someone was taken into custody within the last few hours, try the search again a bit later.

Released on bond: Many people booked into a county jail are released within hours or days after posting bond. A person who no longer appears in the search may have been released, not transferred.

Transferred to state custody: After sentencing, someone can be transferred from a BSO jail to a Florida Department of Corrections facility. If they no longer appear in the BSO Arrest Search, check the FDOC Offender Search at dc.state.fl.us/OffenderSearch/Search.aspx instead.

Transferred to a different BSO facility: Broward Sheriff’s Office operates more than one jail facility. Confirm the search result names Joseph V. Conte Facility specifically, not a different BSO location.

Common names: Try adding a middle initial or narrowing by booking date if there are multiple matches.
