When an inmate wants to call you, they place a collect call through AmTel’s system. Your phone needs to be able to accept collect calls, which may require setup depending on your carrier or phone type, especially for cell phones. You Cannot Call the Inmate Directly

There is no option to call into the Holmes County Jail and speak with an inmate directly. All contact by phone has to be initiated by the inmate calling out collect.
