South Bay Correctional Facility uses Correct Pay as the FDOC statewide money transfer service, the same system used at every Florida state prison regardless of whether The GEO Group or FDOC directly runs the facility. You need the inmate’s DC number. Funds go into the inmate’s trust account and can be used for commissary purchases, phone prepaid balances, and approved program fees. You can send money online, through the mobile app, by phone, or by mailing a money order.
Get the inmate’s DC number from the FDOC Offender Search at dc.state.fl.us/OffenderSearch/Search.aspx. You need it for every deposit, no matter which method you use.
Go to CorrectPay.com/Florida and create an account. Select Send Money. Enter the inmate’s DC number and last name. Choose your payment method, either a debit card, credit card, or linked bank account, and enter the amount. You will see the service fee before confirming. Online deposits are usually the fastest option, often posting within a few hours to one business day.
Download the Correct Pay Mobile App from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Create an account or log into an existing one. The app walks you through the same steps as the website: enter the DC number, choose an amount, and confirm the fee. The app is convenient for checking balances or sending repeat deposits from your phone.
Call (855) 836-3364. Have the inmate’s DC number, payment information, and amount ready. Phone transactions may carry a higher fee than online deposits, so compare the fee disclosure before confirming.

Write the inmate’s full name and DC number on the money order. Include a copy of your valid government-issued ID. FDOC assesses a bank processing fee for this method. Money orders sent by mail take the longest to post, since they must go through USPS transit plus processing time before the funds appear on the account.

FDOC may apply limits to how much can be held in an inmate’s trust account or deposited within a given period, under state policy on inmate funds. If a deposit is rejected for exceeding a limit, call (855) 836-3364 for the current limit and guidance.
If the inmate has court-ordered restitution, fines, or other financial obligations, a portion of incoming deposits or existing trust account balances may be subject to withholding under Florida law. This is handled by FDOC’s financial services, separately from the standard Correct Pay deposit process.
If money does not appear within the expected timeframe, check that the DC number matches the inmate exactly. Log into your Correct Pay account online or in the app to confirm the transaction shows as completed, not pending or failed. If the deposit still does not appear after a few business days, call (855) 836-3364 with your transaction confirmation details ready.
The trust account balance usually moves with the inmate across FDOC facilities, whether state-run or GEO Group-operated, so you should not need to open a new account if the inmate is moved to a different Florida state prison. For transfers to a non-FDOC facility, such as a return to county jail or an out-of-state transfer, call (855) 836-3364 for guidance on how the balance is handled.
