How Video Visitation Works

Call Securus at 1-800-844-6591 to set up a video visitation account. Once your account is active, you can schedule and complete a video visit from your own computer, tablet, or smartphone, without needing to travel to the jail.

Using a Jail Lobby Kiosk

If you don’t have a computer or reliable internet connection at home, Taylor County Jail has two visitation kiosks set up in its former in-person visitation room. Visit the jail lobby and ask staff how to use a kiosk for your video visit. Call 850-584-4333 ahead of time to confirm kiosk availability and any scheduling requirements.

Why There Are No In-Person Visits

Taylor County Jail transitioned fully to video visitation. This is a facility-wide policy change, not something specific to a particular inmate, so it applies to everyone in custody there.

Have the inmate’s full legal name and booking information ready when you call 1-800-844-6591. Securus can walk you through creating an account, adding funds if needed, and scheduling your first video visit.

What to Expect During a Video Visit

Treat a video visit like any other jail visit. Follow Securus’s posted guidelines for appropriate conduct, and be aware that video visits, like phone calls, may be monitored or recorded.

Confirming Before You Plan a Kiosk Visit

If you plan to use a lobby kiosk instead of visiting from home, call 850-584-4333 during contact hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to confirm hours and any scheduling steps before you travel.
