Step 1: Submit a Visitation Application

Before your first visit, the inmate typically adds you to their approved visitor list, or you submit the required Visitation Application. Approval must come through before you can schedule an actual visit date.

Step 2: Schedule Your Visit

Getting There

Take I-4 to Exit 6 (US-301 North). The institution is on the left, about one mile south of the Zephyrhills city limits. FDC notes that GPS systems and mapping apps like Google Maps or Mapquest often give incorrect directions to its facilities using the physical street address, so follow the route above instead of a mapping app’s suggested route.

What to Bring

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport. Do not bring personal items into the visiting area beyond what the facility allows. Most facilities permit a small amount of cash for vending machines.

Security Screening

All visitors go through security before entering the visiting area. This includes walking through a metal detector or magnetometer. Corrections officers may also conduct a pat search or use a handheld wand.

Dress Code
