Kentucky River Regional Jail Visiting Hours

In-Person Visits

Kentucky River Regional Jail allows in-person visitation, but the visiting schedule is not published on the official county website. Call 606-436-4032 before making the trip to Hazard to confirm current hours and any schedule changes.

When you call, have the inmate’s name and Inmate ID number ready. Ask if the person is cleared for visits and if your name is on their approved visitor list. If you are not on the list, you cannot visit until the inmate adds you.

The jail is at 200 Justice Drive, Hazard, KY 41701.

Visitor Approval

When someone is booked into Kentucky River Regional Jail, they submit a list of approved contacts. You must be on that list before you can visit in person or receive phone calls from the inmate. If you are not on the list, contact the facility to find out how to request approval.

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID to every in-person visit. Dress appropriately for a correctional facility. If you are unsure what is allowed, call 606-436-4032 before going.

Video Visits Through GettingOut

Video visits are a good option if you live far from Hazard or cannot visit during scheduled hours. Kentucky River Regional Jail uses GettingOut (GTL/ViaPath) for video visitation.

To set up a video visit, go to gettingout.com and create an account. Find Kentucky River Regional Jail in the facility list and add the inmate to your contact list. From there you can schedule and pay for a remote video visit.
