Foothills Correctional Institution uses ViaPath/ConnectNetwork (a GTL service) for all trust fund deposits. You can send money online at ConnectNetwork.com, through the ConnectNetwork app, by phone, by Western Union, or by mailing a money order to TouchPay. Money orders are free of charge. Only people on the person’s approved visitor list can deposit funds. Foothills is a cashless facility, so all purchases come from the trust fund account.
Only people on the person’s approved visitor list can deposit funds at Foothills. If you are not yet on the visitor list, see the visitation guide to understand how to apply. Once you are on the approved list, you can use any of the deposit methods below.
Go to ConnectNetwork.com and create a free account. Search for Foothills Correctional Institution, enter the person’s full name and OPUS Number, choose your amount, and pay with a debit or credit card. Deposits usually post within a few hours.
Fees (effective August 1, 2023): Online deposits cost between $2.48 and $8.16 depending on the amount. The fee is shown before you confirm.
Download the ConnectNetwork app on iOS or Android. The process is the same as the website. Log into your account, find Foothills, enter the OPUS Number and name, and pay with a card.
Call the Trust line at 888-428-1845 or the AdvancePay line at 800-483-8314. Have the person’s OPUS Number and your payment card ready. Phone fees run between $3.27 and $8.95 depending on the amount.
Send a Western Union payment using payment code NCDAC TRUST. Include the person’s full name and OPUS Number in the payment details. The fee is $3.00.
Make a money order payable to TouchPay and mail it to:

Include the person’s full legal name and OPUS Number with the money order. This method has no fee. Allow extra processing time for mail delivery.
Foothills is a cashless facility. The person cannot use paper money inside. All purchases come from their trust fund account. Money covers:
Commissary at NC DAC state prisons includes food items, hygiene products, writing supplies, and other approved goods.

A deposit sent without the correct OPUS Number can be delayed or returned.

Foothills participates in the NC inmate package program at ncinmatepackage.com. Orders placed through that site go through the approved vendor and are delivered to the facility. Do not try to mail packages directly.
