What is Western Correctional Center for Women?
Western Correctional Center for Women is a minimum custody state prison for women in Black Mountain, NC, in Buncombe County. Operated by the NC Department of Adult Correction, it opened in July 2008 on the former Swannanoa Valley Juvenile Detention Center campus.
