Garden State Correctional Facility - 1408
PO Box 96777
Las Vegas, NV 89193

1408 is Garden State’s facility code. Put your name and return address on the envelope.

How It Is Delivered

Letters are scanned in color, printed and shipped to the prison. Originals are kept 45 days, then destroyed.

Legal Mail and Packages

Legal mail, packages, books and magazines go to NJDOC’s Centralized Search and Sorting Center (CSSC), which sits at Garden State’s own address:

[Full Name] - [SBI Number]
CSSC
55 Hogback Rd
Crosswicks, NJ 08515

Mark legal mail “Confidential” with the law office’s return address. Packages must come from an approved source, and publications straight from the publisher or vendor.

Skipping the Trip to the Las Vegas Box

A posted envelope addressed to code 1408 spends 3 to 5 business days getting to the Las Vegas box before it’s scanned. Letters and up to 10 photos sent through Pigeonly from your phone skip that leg.
