The jail’s information line is 845-638-5600.

Note the ID Number

Letters for this jail go to a scanning address with the person’s ID number after their name, so write it down when you find them.

Who Is Held There

The Rockland County Correctional Center holds men and women over 16 who are awaiting trial or sentenced to a year or less. It also holds parole and probation violators, people in civil matters, and people waiting to move to state prison. It is run by the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, whose main office is at 55 New Hempstead Rd., New City.

After Sentencing

Anyone sentenced to state prison moves into the DOCCS system and gets a DIN, and from then on the DOCCS lookup is the place to find them.

Their ID Number Goes on Every Letter

Letters go to a scanning address with the ID number after their name. Pigeonly prints a letter you type on your phone and mails it to that address with the number on it.
