How to Send Money to London Correctional Institution

JPay through ConnectNetwork is the primary way to deposit money for London CI inmates. Online deposits post faster than money orders.

Overview

London Correctional Institution uses JPay through the ConnectNetwork platform for inmate money deposits. You can send money online at connectnetwork.com using a debit or credit card, or mail a money order. Deposits go into the inmate’s trust account, which covers commissary purchases and other approved expenses inside the facility. Phone account funding is handled separately through the same ConnectNetwork platform. Call (740) 852-2454 if you have questions about deposit rules or limits specific to London CI.

Quick Facts

  • Online deposits: go to connectnetwork.com, search for the inmate by name or ODRC number, and pay with a debit or credit card.
  • Money orders are also accepted. Call (740) 852-2454 for the current money order mailing address and instructions.
  • Funds go into the inmate's trust account for commissary purchases.
  • Phone account funding is separate from the commissary trust account. See the Phone Calls guide for how phone funding works.
  • Fees apply to all deposits. Fees are shown before you confirm any online transaction.
  • If a deposit doesn't post, contact ConnectNetwork support via connectnetwork.com or call London CI at (740) 852-2454.

Online Deposit via ConnectNetwork (JPay)

The fastest way to send money is through connectnetwork.com. Deposits typically post within a few hours.

  1. Go to connectnetwork.com and log into your account, or create one if you haven’t already.
  2. Search for the inmate by full legal name or ODRC offender number.
  3. Select a deposit amount and pay with a debit or credit card.
  4. Confirm the transaction. Fees are displayed before you confirm, so review them before proceeding.

You’ll receive a confirmation when the deposit is submitted. If the funds don’t appear in the inmate’s account within a day, contact ConnectNetwork support through their website or call London CI at (740) 852-2454.

Money Order by Mail

If you prefer to mail a money order, call London CI at (740) 852-2454 first to get the current mailing address and any required documentation (such as a payment coupon or ID copy). Instructions for money orders can change, and sending one without the right paperwork will cause it to be returned to you.

Make the money order payable to JPay or as directed by the facility. Do not send cash.

What the Money Covers

Deposits go into the inmate’s trust account. From there, the inmate can:

  • Purchase items at the weekly commissary (food, hygiene products, writing supplies, etc.)
  • Pay medical or dental co-pays as required
  • Access certain programming or educational materials

Phone call credits may be funded through a separate account. See the Phone Calls guide for details on funding phone time at London CI.

Deposit Limits and Restrictions

ODRC facilities set deposit limits, which can change. Call (740) 852-2454 to confirm current deposit limits before sending a large amount. Exceeding the limit will cause the deposit to be returned or held.

Some ODRC facilities restrict who can send money. In some cases, only approved visitors on the inmate’s list are eligible. Confirm this with London CI directly before your first deposit.

Garnishment and Deductions

If the inmate has court-ordered fines, restitution, or fees, a portion of each deposit may be automatically garnished before the funds are available for commissary. The percentage taken depends on the inmate’s specific obligations. The inmate can ask their case manager about any standing garnishment orders so you know how much of each deposit reaches them.

When a Deposit Doesn’t Post

If an online deposit doesn’t appear in the inmate’s account after 24 hours:

  • Log into connectnetwork.com and check the transaction status under your account.
  • Contact ConnectNetwork support through their website.
  • If the issue persists, call London CI at (740) 852-2454 and ask the business office to look up the deposit.

Money orders that don’t post are usually the result of missing documentation. If your money order was returned, confirm whether a payment coupon or ID copy was required before mailing again.
