How Video Visitation Works

Ross County Jail uses IC Solutions’ The Visitor platform for all inmate visits. You can connect in two ways:

Onsite: Come to the jail at 28 North Paint Street, Chillicothe, OH 45601 and use the video terminal in the facility’s visitation center. Onsite visits are free. Bring a valid state-issued photo ID.

Offsite: Connect from your home computer, Android phone, or iPhone/iPad using the ICS Mobile app. Offsite visits are fee-based. Internet connectivity issues on your end during the visit are not refunded.

During all video visits, the inmate stays in their housing unit. You connect through a screen on your end and a kiosk or device on theirs.

Step 1: Register

All visitors must register at icsolutions.com before scheduling. Registration is free.

Go to icsolutions.com and create an account. You’ll need your contact information and the inmate’s name and facility. Your registration goes through a background check. Allow time for approval before your first visit.

Step 2: Download the App (Offsite Only)

If you plan to visit from home, download and test the ICS Mobile app before your scheduled session:

• Android: search “ICS MOBILE” on Google Play
• iOS: search “ICSolutions” on the Apple App Store

Test your camera, microphone, and internet connection before booking. Technical issues on your end are not grounds for a refund.

Step 3: Schedule Your Visit

Log in to icsolutions.com, find Tri-County Regional Jail, and book an available time slot. Visits are 15 minutes each. Scheduling is done online through your IC Solutions account.

Call (740) 773-1187 to confirm current visit hours and any inmate-specific restrictions before scheduling.

Visit Duration

Each visit session is 15 minutes.

ID Requirements

For onsite visits, bring a valid state-issued photo ID. A driver’s license or state ID card is accepted.

What to Know for Onsite Visits

• Go to the visitation center inside the facility.
• Bring your valid state-issued photo ID.
• Do not bring bags, purses, or outside items into the visitation area.

All Visits Are Monitored

All video sessions are recorded and monitored by jail staff. Do not discuss anything you would not want staff to hear. For attorney-client or professional visits, call (740) 773-1187 to ask about separate arrangements.

Getting to Ross County Jail

Ross County Jail is at 28 North Paint Street, Chillicothe, OH 45601 in downtown Chillicothe. Chillicothe is in south-central Ohio, about 45 miles south of Columbus via US-23. Street parking and a public parking garage are available near the courthouse area.
