How Commissary Works

Once funds are in the inmate’s trust account, the inmate submits a commissary order via kiosk inside the facility two days before distribution. The order is then filled and delivered. Inmates who serve as trustees take on tasks such as cooking, laundry, and commissary management. They typically receive modest compensation credited to their trust account, or a reduction in sentence. If your loved one is a trustee, they may have some balance in their account from this work.
