SCDC’s phone system runs through GTL/ConnectNetwork statewide at a flat 5.5 cents per minute. Unlike Kershaw, Kirkland, and other male facilities, the overnight phone curfew that took effect Oct. 27, 2025 doesn’t apply here, since it was written specifically for medium and close custody male inmates.
In October 2025, SCDC restricted phone access to 6 a.m.-11:30 p.m. for medium and close custody male inmates statewide. That rule was written specifically for men; it does not apply to Camille Griffin Graham or any other facility housing female inmates. If you’ve read about SCDC’s new phone curfew elsewhere, know that it doesn’t change anything here.
Every call anywhere in the U.S. runs a flat 5.5 cents per minute, the same statewide rate SCDC uses at every institution, male or female.
Since Dec. 1, 2023, each inmate can call up to 20 total phone numbers, built automatically as she dials them. Once 20 different numbers are on the list, no new ones can be added until it resets once a year. If you want to be reachable, make sure she calls your number early during her sentence, before the list fills.
Landline (collect calls). Your phone account needs to be current, and your provider needs a Billing and Collection agreement with SCDC’s phone provider. A touch-tone phone is required; rotary-dial lines don’t work.
Cell phone. Calls to cell phones must be prepaid. Set up a free AdvancePay account at ConnectNetwork.com ahead of time.
As at every SCDC facility, all calls are subject to recording, monitoring, and restrictions.
Inmates cannot call toll-free (800/888) numbers from inside any SCDC facility.
GettingOut, part of the GTL/ViaPath family of services, offers electronic messaging as an alternative. SCDC staff review all messages and can block anything inappropriate before it reaches her.
