Go to a Western Union location and ask for Quick Collect. Use code FBOP DC. Include the person’s full name and BOP register number. Funds usually post within a similar timeframe as MoneyGram.

Purchase a USPS money order and mail it to:

The person’s full legal name and their BOP register number (format XXXXX-XXX). Find the register number with the BOP inmate locator. Deposits without a correct register number can be delayed or returned.
What BOP Does Not Use
FMC Carswell is a federal prison. It does not use JPay, ConnectNetwork, or any state-based deposit service. If you have used JPay for someone at a state prison, that account does not work for federal deposits. You must use MoneyGram, Western Union, or a USPS money order.
