Setting Up Phone and Tablet Service

What Calls Cost

Video calls cost $0.10 a minute after the first 30 free minutes each month.
E-messages cost $0.03 each after the first 20 free messages each month, and are limited to 2,000 characters.
Tablets include free e-book, audio book, and podcast subscriptions. Music subscriptions start at $5.49 a month, movies range from $1.99 to $17.99, and games cost $0.99 each.
All calls are recorded and monitored.

Switching from ViaPath

CDCR awarded a new statewide contract to Securus Technologies in February 2025, but each institution transitioned on its own schedule. Corcoran’s phone service switched to Securus on June 22, 2026, with tablets following June 23-26, 2026. Photos, e-messages, and media purchased through the previous ViaPath system did not carry over to the new tablets, so if you funded a ViaPath account before the switch, that content is gone.
