Since September 15, 2025, personal mail goes to a processing centre in Las Vegas. Address it to the person's name and their booking number and Jail Identification number, then the line Fresno County Jail - 1900, then PO Box 96777, Las Vegas, NV 89193. The Sheriff states that mail without those numbers and the 1900 facility code will be returned.
MailNo. The Sheriff's Office states that the South Annex Jail permanently closed on December 14, 2024 and was replaced by the new West Annex Jail at 2208 Merced Street. Some older pages on the county's own site still describe three buildings including the South Annex, so treat anything mentioning it as out of date.
GeneralOpen their record in the county's Incarcerated Person Search and look at the housing location field. It returns a code such as MJ, NJ, WJ or PJ along with a floor and pod. The county publishes no legend explaining those codes, so call 559-475-9491 to confirm which building the code means. You need that answer before the visiting schedule makes sense.
Inmate SearchNo, and you cannot. The Sheriff states that visits are done on a first come, first serve basis. There is no online portal, no scheduling phone line and no published deadline. What decides whether you can visit is the schedule for your person's building, floor and pod, which changes by day of the week.
VisitationFresno County publishes an actual fee table, which is unusual. Deposits up to $20.00 cost $2.95, deposits from $20.01 to $100.00 cost $4.45, and deposits from $101.01 to $300.00 cost $5.95. Note the table has a gap between $100.00 and $101.01 and stops at $300, and the county says rates are subject to change.
Send MoneyNo. Fresno County states plainly that personal checks, cashier's checks and money orders are not accepted. TouchPay is the only route, through the lobby kiosks, online, or by phone. Currency sent in the mail is treated as contraband.

A caller impersonates a ranking Sheriff's Office member and asks for hundreds or thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency, gift cards, Zelle or Cash App, promising release with an ankle monitor and a refund. The Sheriff's Office states it never solicits money or asks for fines to be paid over the phone. The scammers appear to work from the public booking logs, then find a relative's name and number online.
