Important Rules
Always include the 8-digit register number. This is the number from the BOP Inmate Locator at bop.gov/inmateloc/. For MoneyGram and Western Union, enter it as 8 digits with no dashes, immediately followed by the last name (example: 12345678SMITH).

JPay does not apply here. JPay is not an accepted payment method for BOP facilities.
Access Corrections does not apply here. That service is for state facilities, not federal BOP prisons.
What Commissary Funds Are Used For
Once funds post to the inmate’s account, they can spend them at the facility commissary on food, hygiene items, clothing, postage stamps, and phone call credits. Commissary is one of the most meaningful things you can do to support your loved one while they’re inside.
