The fastest way to send money to an inmate at B.B. Rayburn is through JPay at jpay.com or by phone at 1-800-574-5729. You can also use MoneyGram, mail a money order, or use the on-site kiosk. The account number is the inmate’s ID number plus their last name, no spaces. Double-check both the ID number and spelling before sending.

JPay is the preferred and fastest method for Louisiana DOC facilities.
Call 1-800-574-5729 and follow the prompts to send funds to B.B. Rayburn. Have the inmate’s information and your payment details ready.
MoneyGram is a solid backup if you prefer cash or in-person service.
Tip: Write down the tracking number. If the deposit does not appear in 24 hours, you can trace it with MoneyGram.
If you cannot use JPay or MoneyGram, mail a money order directly.
Money orders take the longest to clear. Allow several extra days for postal delivery and processing.
If you are visiting B.B. Rayburn in person, you can add funds at the visitation kiosk.
Kiosk deposits are convenient but cannot be done remotely.

Use the inmate's ID number plus their last name with no spaces. For example, if the ID is 123456 and the last name is Smith, the account is 123456Smith. Always double-check spelling.
Send MoneyJPay online payments typically post within 48 hours. MoneyGram deposits usually post within 24 hours. Mailed money orders can take a week or more. Keep your receipt or tracking number if the money does not show up.
Send MoneyYes. On-site kiosk deposits at B.B. Rayburn are capped at $499.99 per transaction. Higher amounts must be split across separate transactions or sent through another method.
Send MoneyNo. Louisiana DOC facilities do not allow you to hand cash directly to an inmate during a visit. All deposits must go through JPay, MoneyGram, a mailed money order, or the kiosk.
Send MoneyAny remaining trust account balance is returned to the inmate at release, usually by check mailed to their address on file. If the inmate transfers to another facility, the funds follow them.
