It’s the largest jail in Maine, rated for 570 beds with an average daily population near 240, and it booked 3,329 people in 2022, so status here changes fast. The locator refreshes periodically through the day instead of instantly, and names stay listed until the person is actually released. Inmate SearchNo. Federal inmates are excluded. If your family member was picked up on a federal charge or moved into federal custody, they won't appear here at all, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons runs its own separate inmate locator you'd need to check instead.
Inmate SearchIt refreshes periodically through the day, not the moment something happens. A booking from the last hour or two might not be posted yet. Once someone is listed, the name stays up until they're released from custody.

Maine's Department of Corrections search is a separate system built for state prisons and community supervision cases, so a person awaiting trial or serving a county sentence here won't show up in it.
