The Sheriff’s Add Commissary Funds link goes to SmartDeposit (smartdeposit.com).

Bail Online

Cash bail can be paid by card through GovPayNet: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. You need:

• The defendant’s name and date of birth
• Their booking number (call 518-565-4351 if you do not have it)
• The court or judge
• The cash bail amount

The money becomes the defendant’s property. The receipt is in their name, and any refund from the court goes to them.

SmartDeposit adds money to their commissary account, and bail money goes to the court. Neither one carries a photo of home. Pigeonly prints the pictures you pick on your phone and mails them to the jail in Plattsburgh.
