How Video Visitation Works

Scioto County Jail uses IC Solutions (icsolutions.com) for all visits. There are two ways to visit:

Onsite: Come to the jail at 1025 16th Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662 and use the video kiosk in the visitation center. Onsite visits are free. Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time. Bring a state-issued photo ID.

Offsite: Visit from your Windows computer, Android device, or iPhone/iPad from anywhere. Download the IC Solutions app: search “ICS MOBILE” on Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). Offsite visits are fee-based. Internet connectivity issues during offsite visits are not refunded.

Step 1: Register

All visitors must register with IC Solutions before scheduling a visit. Registration is free.

Go to icsolutions.com and create an account. You’ll need basic contact information and the inmate’s name and facility.

Step 2: Download the App (Offsite Visits Only)

If you plan to visit from home, download and test the app before scheduling:

• Android: search “ICS MOBILE” on Google Play
• iOS: search “ICS MOBILE” on the Apple App Store

Test the app before your scheduled session so technical issues don’t cut into your visit time.

Step 3: Schedule Your Visit

Visits are assigned by housing unit and the first letter of the inmate’s last name. Use the schedule below to find the correct time slot, then book it through your IC Solutions account.

Visits run Tuesday through Friday evenings. Each session is 30 minutes.

ID Requirements

For onsite visits, bring a valid state-issued photo ID. A driver’s license or state ID card is accepted.

What to Know for Onsite Visits

• Arrive at least 15 minutes before the visit is scheduled to begin.
• Go to the visitation center inside the facility.
• Bring your state-issued photo ID.
• Do not bring outside items into the visitation area.

All Sessions Are Monitored

All video visits, whether onsite or offsite, are recorded and monitored by jail staff. Attorney-client communications may have a separate process. Contact the jail at (740) 355-8277 to ask about professional or legal visit arrangements.

Getting to Scioto County Jail

Scioto County Jail is at 1025 16th Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662. Portsmouth is in Scioto County in southern Ohio, about 95 miles south of Columbus and 95 miles east of Cincinnati. Plan for personal transportation. There is no public transit to the facility.
