Roederer Correctional Complex uses Securus Technologies for all outgoing inmate calls. Phone calls go one direction: the inmate calls you. You cannot call in. To receive calls, you need to register your phone number with Securus and set up an account at securustech.net. Video visits are also available through the Securus platform. Electronic messaging is available through JPay, which is part of the Securus system. The general facility number is (502) 222-0170.
Before your loved one can call you, register your phone number with Securus. Here is how.
Step 1: Go to securustech.net. You can also download the Securus app on iOS or Android.
Step 2: Create an account. Use your real name and a valid email. You’ll use this to manage your account going forward.
Step 3: Add Roederer Correctional Complex as the facility. Search for it by name or filter by Kentucky.
Step 4: Register the phone numbers you want to receive calls on. You can add multiple numbers. Only registered numbers can receive inmate calls.
Step 5: Add funds to your prepaid account. Add money so calls connect right away when they come through. You can also set up collect billing on eligible numbers.
Video visits are a good option if you can’t travel to LaGrange, or while waiting for the Assessment Center visiting hold to clear. Create a Securus account, select Roederer, and schedule a session.
Video visits are conducted from home using a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera and microphone. Sessions must be scheduled in advance through the Securus website or app.
JPay is Securus’s electronic messaging platform. You can send messages to your loved one at Roederer through jpay.com or the JPay app. Stamps for electronic messages start at $4.40 for 10. Messages are delivered electronically and are subject to review before the inmate receives them.
All inmate calls at Roederer may be monitored and recorded. This is standard at KDOC facilities. Attorney-client calls are handled separately and are subject to different rules, contact the facility if you need information about privileged communication.
