Start With the Jail’s Own Roster

The jail’s Current Inmates page opens a JailTracker roster hosted at omsweb.public-safety-cloud.com. JailTracker also provides the jail’s website, so the roster and the site come from the same vendor.

We have not documented which fields the roster returns or how often it refreshes, because the jail publishes neither and the roster runs as a JavaScript application we could not read directly. Treat what you see there as current at the moment you load it, and confirm anything you are about to act on by phone.

Why KOOL Will Probably Not Find Them

The Kentucky Online Offender Lookup at kool.corrections.ky.gov does list Three Forks Regional Jail as a location, which makes it look like a general search tool for this jail. It is not.

KOOL covers people in the custody of, or under supervision by, the Kentucky Department of Corrections. The state’s own Weekly Jail Population Report for the week of August 20, 2026 breaks the jail’s 270 people down: 66 Class D state inmates, 20 on controlled intake, and 5 parole violators. Everyone else was held on county charges. That means most people at this jail are invisible to KOOL.

The jail’s website links only KOOL and VINELink from its Links page, so a family following the jail’s own navigation can easily end up in the wrong tool.

If the Person Is Not Showing Up

A few reasons someone might not appear:

• They were booked in the last few hours. Roster updates are not instant, and the jail does not publish a refresh interval.
• They are held somewhere else. The jail takes people from Lee, Owsley, and Wolfe counties as member counties, and also holds prisoners from other counties under contract at a higher daily rate. Someone arrested in a neighboring county could be here or could be in their home county’s jail.
• They were released or transferred. Class D state inmates move to state facilities.
• The name is spelled differently. Try a middle name as a first name, a maiden name, or a shortened form.

Calling 606-464-2598 is the way to settle it. The jail is subject to the Kentucky Open Records Act and has a records contact, so basic custody confirmation is something staff can answer.

What You Need Before the Next Step

Once you have confirmed the person is at Three Forks Regional Jail, two things are worth writing down: their full legal name exactly as the roster spells it, and their booking or inmate number if the roster shows one. Both matter for a commissary deposit, and the jail’s mail rules are unpublished, so the name on the roster is the safest spelling to use on an envelope.
