Catahoula Correctional Center accepts physical mail — letters, postcards, and approved publications. All mail is inspected before it reaches the inmate. The easiest way to send photos is digitally through City Tele Coin’s messaging platform, but physical photo postcards that meet facility rules are also accepted.

Always include the inmate’s full legal name and ID number. Mail without an ID number may be delayed or returned. Include your full name and return address on every piece of mail.
Letters and postcards are accepted. Use blue or black ink only. Don’t include anything inside the envelope other than the letter itself — no cash, no photos, no stickers. Photos sent inside envelopes may be rejected; send them digitally through City Tele Coin or as a standalone photo postcard instead.
All incoming mail is opened and inspected before delivery to the inmate.
Books must be shipped directly from a publisher or major retailer like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or a similar vendor. No hardcover books are accepted. Paperback only. The book must arrive in the original shipping packaging from the retailer — not inside a personal package or wrapped by you.
Don’t ship books from a private address. They’ll be returned.
Magazines and newspapers must come directly from the publisher or a subscription service. You can set up a subscription to be delivered to the inmate’s address at the facility. Issues that arrive from a personal address will be returned.
Digital photos (recommended): The City Tele Coin messaging platform lets you send digital photos directly to the inmate. Log in at citytelecoin.com, go to messaging, and attach photos to a message. Most file formats are accepted.
Physical photo postcards: Photo postcards are accepted if they meet these rules:
Photos sent inside regular envelopes may be returned. Use the postcard format or go digital.
