When an inmate is assigned a cell, they receive a Visitation Form listing who they want to approve. Your name has to be on that form before your first visit. Talk to your inmate and make sure they’ve submitted your name. Once submitted, first-time visitors are checked for outstanding warrants before being approved.
Catahoula allows in-person visits every day of the week from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Each inmate is assigned a specific visiting day and time based on their cell assignment — not a general open schedule. Check with your inmate to get their assigned slot before you plan a trip.
Each inmate is allowed one hour of visitation per week. A shift supervisor can extend a visit for distance traveled or infrequent past visits — ask a corrections officer when you arrive.
Leave your phone, purse, and valuables in your car. The facility will direct you through security before entering the visiting area.
On your first visit, you’ll complete a Visitor Information Form at the facility. Staff will verify your ID and check for outstanding warrants. Once cleared, you’ll be added to the approved visitor list and can visit going forward without completing the form again.
If you can’t make the drive to Harrisonburg, video visits are available through City Tele Coin 7 days a week, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

All video visits are monitored and recorded. Never discuss pending legal matters during a visit.
