Weekday Visiting
Weekday visits are available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM. These visits are not walk-in. You must submit a request to the Warden in advance. Weekday visits are subject to visitation room availability and security requirements. Call (337) 599-2198 to request a weekday visit.
Visit Length and Limits
Each visit is one hour. The Assistant Warden may grant more time for family members who have traveled a long distance, depending on how many other visitors are scheduled and staff availability.
A maximum of two adults and two children may visit at one time. This limit can be interpreted with some flexibility depending on circumstances.
What to Bring
Bring a valid, verifiable government-issued photo ID. Copies are not accepted. Examples include a driver’s license, state ID, or passport.
Do not bring your cell phone, pager, or any other electronic devices into the secure areas. They are not permitted.
Do not attempt to pass any items to the detainee during the visit. Visitors may not carry items into the visitation area.
Arriving at the Facility
Arrive at least 45 minutes before your scheduled visit time. This gives staff enough time to process you through security before the visit window closes. Arriving late may mean you miss your visit entirely.
All visitors are subject to a pat-down search, an inspection of belongings, and a metal scan. Anyone who refuses to cooperate with a search will not be admitted.
If you appear intoxicated, you will not be allowed in.

The facility enforces a dress code for all visitors age 12 and older.
