Gaston County Jail uses Inmate Canteen (Team Three) to accept money deposits. You can deposit online at team3.inmatecanteen.com or at an in-person kiosk in either jail lobby. Every deposit requires the person’s full name and Global Subject Number. The maximum commissary spending limit is $125.00. Money funds commissary purchases, phone time through IC Solutions, and other authorized items.
Deposits typically post to the account within a few hours. Processing time can vary, so send money before a holiday or weekend if timing matters.
There are in-person kiosks in two locations:
You need the person’s full name and Global Subject Number at the kiosk, along with cash or a debit card, depending on the machine.
You need the person’s full legal name and their Global Subject Number. The Global Subject Number is the unique identifier assigned by Gaston County Jail. Find it on the live roster at gastoncountysheriffsoffice.com/inmate-search-disclaimer/. Without the correct number, your deposit may not post to the right account. The maximum commissary spending limit at Gaston County Jail is $125.00. You can deposit more than that into the account, but the person can only spend up to $125.00 on commissary per commissary cycle. Unused funds stay in the account.

Do not send cash in a letter. Cash mailed to the jail will not reach the person and may be confiscated. Use Inmate Canteen for all deposits.
