You can book online, through the iOS or Android app, or by coming to the front lobby of the Annex. Schedule at least one day in advance and up to two weeks out. Remote Video Visits

Remote video visits let you connect from home using a computer, phone, or tablet.

Main Jail video hours: Seven days a week, 1:05 PM to 3:35 PM and 5:05 PM to 8:00 PM.

Annex video hours: Seven days a week, 1:05 PM to 9:05 PM.

Cost: $7 to $10 for a 20 to 25 minute session. You need at least $7.50 in your IC Solutions account to schedule a video visit.

How to Schedule

  1. Go to icsolutions.com or download the IC Solutions app (iOS or Android).
  2. Create a free account with your name and contact information.
  3. Search for Gaston County Jail.
  4. Select the type of visit: on-site or remote video.
  5. Choose an available date and time slot.
  6. Confirm the booking. You will receive a confirmation.

You can also walk into the front lobby of the Annex to schedule in person.

Schedule at least one day in advance and up to two weeks out. Slots fill up, so booking early helps, especially for Monday and Tuesday sessions.

Visitor Limits

Each on-site visit allows up to 4 visitors total, but no more than 2 may be in the visitation area at the same time. Coordinate with other family members so everyone fits within the limit.

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

What to Bring

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms include:

  • Driver’s license or state-issued ID card
  • U.S. Passport or Passport Card
  • U.S. Military ID

Leave personal items, bags, and valuables in your vehicle. If you have a medical condition that affects screening (pacemaker, metal implants), bring a physician’s statement.

Security Screening

All visitors go through security before entering the visitation area. Be prepared for:

  • Metal detector screening
  • Possible pat-down
  • Staff checks of identification

Visitors who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to visit.

Dress Code

Dress modestly. Staff can turn away visitors who are not appropriately dressed. Avoid:

  • Revealing or excessively tight clothing
  • Clothing with drug- or alcohol-related graphics
  • Any attire that could reasonably be mistaken for inmate clothing

When in doubt, choose plain, conservative clothing.

Children Under 16

Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the visit. If a family member other than a parent is bringing a minor child, confirm with the facility whether a notarized permission form from the non-incarcerated parent is required. Frequency of Visits

Each inmate gets one on-site visit per week. Inmate workers may qualify for two on-site visits per week. Video visits follow a separate scheduling window and can be booked on days when on-site visits are not available, including weekends.

What Is Not Allowed

  • Bringing contraband into the facility or onto jail property is a felony.
  • Giving any item to an inmate during a visit, or accepting any item from them, without prior staff approval is prohibited.
  • Tobacco and tobacco-like products are not allowed on jail property.
  • Visitors who show signs of intoxication will be turned away.
