Annex video hours: Seven days a week, 1:05 PM to 9:05 PM.

Schedule at least 6 hours in advance. You can book through icsolutions.com, the iOS app, the Android app, or a kiosk in the jail lobby.
How to Schedule
- Go to icsolutions.com or download the IC Solutions app (iOS or Android).
- Create a free account with your name and contact information.
- Search for Gaston County Jail.
- Select the type of visit: on-site or remote video.
- Choose an available date and time slot.
- Confirm the booking. You will receive a confirmation.
You can also walk into the front lobby of the Annex to schedule in person.

Visitor Limits
Each on-site visit allows up to 4 visitors total, but no more than 2 may be in the visitation area at the same time. Coordinate with other family members so everyone fits within the limit.
Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
What to Bring
Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Acceptable forms include:
- Driver’s license or state-issued ID card
- U.S. Passport or Passport Card
- U.S. Military ID
Leave personal items, bags, and valuables in your vehicle. If you have a medical condition that affects screening (pacemaker, metal implants), bring a physician’s statement.
For ADA-related accommodations, call (704) 866-3550 Monday through Thursday 11 AM to 4 PM before your visit.
Security Screening
All visitors go through security before entering the visitation area. Be prepared for:
- Metal detector screening
- Possible pat-down
- Staff checks of identification
Visitors who appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to visit.
Dress Code
Dress modestly. Staff can turn away visitors who are not appropriately dressed. Avoid:
- Revealing or excessively tight clothing
- Clothing with drug- or alcohol-related graphics
- Any attire that could reasonably be mistaken for inmate clothing
When in doubt, choose plain, conservative clothing.
Children Under 16
Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during the visit. If a family member other than a parent is bringing a minor child, confirm with the facility whether a notarized permission form from the non-incarcerated parent is required. Call (704) 869-6868 Monday through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM to ask before you arrive.
Frequency of Visits
Each inmate gets one on-site visit per week. Inmate workers may qualify for two on-site visits per week. Video visits follow a separate scheduling window and can be booked on days when on-site visits are not available, including weekends.
What Is Not Allowed
- Bringing contraband into the facility or onto jail property is a felony.
- Giving any item to an inmate during a visit, or accepting any item from them, without prior staff approval is prohibited.
- Tobacco and tobacco-like products are not allowed on jail property.
- Visitors who show signs of intoxication will be turned away.
