How to Send Money Online

1. Go to store.jailpackstore.com.
2. Search for Stanly County Detention Center in NC.
3. Enter the person’s full legal name and booking number. Get the booking number from the inmate roster.
4. Enter the amount you want to deposit (up to $300).
5. Pay by credit or debit card.
6. Review the fee before you confirm. The site shows the total before you finalize.

Deposits typically post within a few hours. If you don’t see the funds posted after several hours, call customer service at 800-822-9388.

How to Deposit In Person

The jail lobby at 126 South 3rd Street, Albemarle, NC 28001 has a JailPackStore kiosk. Bring the person’s booking number and cash or a card. The kiosk walks you through the same steps as the website.

If you’re already at the facility for a visit, this is a convenient way to add funds at the same time.

The fee is charged in addition to the deposit amount. For example, a $50 deposit costs $50 + $6.95 = $56.95 total from your card.

What You Need Before You Start

• Booking number: Required for every deposit. Find it at stanlysheriff.us/inmateList. See the inmate search guide.
• Full legal name: Enter the name exactly as it appears in the roster.
• Credit or debit card: Visa, Mastercard, and Discover are accepted. Some prepaid cards may not work.

If the booking number is wrong, the deposit can be delayed or returned to your account. Always double-check the number before confirming.

What the Money Covers

Funds deposited through JailPackStore go toward the person’s account at the detention center. They can use it for:

• Commissary items: Snacks, hygiene products, writing supplies, and clothing items available through the jail commissary.
• Phone time: NCIC phone calls are billed from the inmate’s account or from your NCIC account on their behalf. See the phone calls guide for how this works.
• Tablet usage: The facility uses NCIC tablets, which can also be funded for messaging, entertainment, and commissary ordering.

Commissary Packs

JailPackStore also offers pre-assembled commissary packs you can order directly for the person. These are pre-defined bundles shipped to the facility. Options include:

• Snack and chip packs
• Candy packs
• Meat and seafood packs
• Hygiene packs
• Writing supply packs
• Underwear packs

Prices range from approximately $11 to $27 per pack, plus a $4.95 shipping fee. Browse current options at store.jailpackstore.com. Commissary packs arrive at the facility and are distributed to the person without you needing to be present.

If Your Deposit Doesn’t Go Through

First, confirm the booking number and name are entered correctly. Then check that your payment method is working. If the deposit still doesn’t post, call JailPackStore customer service at 800-822-9388. They are available Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Don’t try to send cash through the mail. The facility won’t accept it, and it creates risk for you. Use the deposit options above instead.

Can Funds Transfer if Someone Is Released or Moved?

If the person is released or transferred to another facility, contact JailPackStore at 800-822-9388 to ask about unused account balances. Policies on refunds and transfers can vary, so call before assuming the funds are lost.
