Overview
North Central Correctional Complex is an ODRC-contract facility operated by MTC holding Ohio state-sentenced adult males. All inmates are in the Ohio state system and appear in the official ODRC Offender Search at appgateway.drc.ohio.gov/OffenderSearch. NCCC does not hold a separate federal or USMS population, so one search covers everyone at this facility. If the search returns no result, the person may have recently transferred, been released, or the database may not yet reflect a recent move.

Using the ODRC Offender Search
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction maintains an official offender search at appgateway.drc.ohio.gov/OffenderSearch. This covers all ODRC inmates across the state, including everyone at NCCC.
The database updates regularly, but new transfers to NCCC may take 24 to 48 hours to appear. If you know the person was recently moved, wait a day or two before assuming something is wrong.
Search Tips
Use the full legal name exactly as it appears on court documents. A nickname, shortened name, or name variant won’t return a result even if the person is in the system. If the last name is hyphenated or has a suffix (Jr., III), include it.
If a common last name returns multiple results, narrow by county of conviction or use the ODRC number if you have it. The ODRC number is assigned at intake and stays with the person across all facility transfers.
Why the Search Might Come Back Empty
An empty result doesn’t mean the person isn’t at NCCC. Common reasons:
Recent transfer: The move to NCCC may not have processed yet. Allow 24 to 48 hours after a transfer.
Name mismatch: The system uses legal names only. If the name you searched differs from the legal name on file, the search won’t match.
Recently sentenced: Newly sentenced inmates often spend weeks at a county jail or reception center before transferring to a permanent ODRC facility. They may not appear in the ODRC system yet.
Released or transferred out: The person may have moved to a different facility or been released. Check whether a supervision status shows instead of a facility.
If none of these explain the empty result, call NCCC at (740) 387-7040 and ask staff to confirm current placement.
