Visitation Schedule by Unit

NCCC has two distinct inmate populations with separate visiting days.

Processing closes at 1:30 PM for both units. Arriving after that cutoff means you will not be admitted for that session. If you’re coming from out of town, plan to arrive well before 1:30 PM.

No visits take place on holidays. Confirm with the facility at (740) 387-7040 if you’re unsure whether a date is a holiday.

Inmates in special management housing may only receive visits on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If your loved one is in SMH, the standard schedule doesn’t apply.

Step 1: Get Approved as a Visitor

Before you can schedule a visit, you need to be an approved visitor in the ViaPath system. Go to ohdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app, create a visitor account, and submit a visitor request for the inmate. NCCC staff will review and approve or deny the request.

Step 2: Make a Reservation

Reservations are required for every visit. You cannot walk in without one. Schedule up to 60 days before your planned visit using one of these methods:

• Online: Log into ohdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app, select a date and session, add all visitors, and confirm. Save the confirmation number.
• Phone: Call the visiting room reservation line at (740) 387-7040 Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Email: Contact [email protected] with your requested date and visitor names.
• Mail: Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Visiting Room Reservations, P.O. Box 1812, Marion, OH 43302-1812.

All visitors for a session must be named at the time of scheduling. You cannot add or substitute visitors on visit day.

What to Bring

Bring a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID. All visitors 18 and older must present ID at check-in. Acceptable forms include a driver’s license, state ID, or passport.

Bring your reservation confirmation number. You may be asked for it at the check-in point.

Leave large bags, purses, and prohibited items in your vehicle or at home. Contact the facility about any secure storage options available at the entrance.

Dress Code

NCCC enforces dress code requirements for all visitors. Avoid:

• Clothing resembling staff or inmate uniforms (no solid-color scrubs, no khaki)
• Camouflage patterns
• Revealing or see-through clothing
• Open-toe shoes

Call (740) 387-7040 before your visit to confirm the current dress code requirements. Visitors turned away for a dress code violation will not be admitted for that session.

Children and Minors

All minors must be approved visitors in the ViaPath system before attending. Every child attending must be listed when the reservation is made. If a minor attending is not the visitor’s biological child, you may need to bring a birth certificate or notarized permission from a parent or guardian. Video Visitation

Video visits may be available through the ViaPath portal at ohdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app. Contact NCCC at (740) 387-7040 or email [email protected] to confirm whether video visitation is currently active and what hours are available.

Getting to NCCC

North Central Correctional Complex is at 670 Marion-Williamsport Road E in Marion, Ohio. Marion is in central Ohio, about 45 miles north of Columbus via US-23. There is no public transit directly to the facility. Plan for personal transportation or arrange a rideshare to the Marion area. If you’re coming from Columbus, the trip is under an hour.
