There are two places to search for someone at Oklahoma State Penitentiary. The statewide ODOC Offender Lookup at okoffender.doc.ok.gov covers all Oklahoma-sentenced inmates. VINE at vinelink.vineapps.com/search/OK/Person covers custody status and release alerts. If the person was recently transferred or processed, give it 24 to 48 hours before the record appears.
ODOC Offender Lookup, okoffender.doc.ok.gov
The Oklahoma DOC Offender Lookup is the official statewide system for state-sentenced inmates. It returns the inmate’s name, ID number, status, and current location. OSP is listed as a state institution, so an inmate assigned there will appear once processed.
VINE, vinelink.vineapps.com
VINE covers state-sentenced inmates across Oklahoma. It shows custody status and lets you sign up for automated notifications when an inmate is released, transferred, or escapes. Use it to track changes after you locate the person in the main ODOC search.
BOP, bop.gov/inmateloc/
If the person is a federal inmate, search the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator instead.
Before you search, pull together the person’s full legal name exactly as it appears on their ID, their Oklahoma DOC number if you have it, and their date of birth. An exact name match gives you faster results.
A few things can delay a record appearing in the search:
If the person isn’t showing up after 48 hours and you have reason to believe they’re at OSP, call the facility directly at (918) 423-4700. Have the person’s full legal name and date of birth ready.
Register for free VINE notifications at vinelink.vineapps.com. You’ll get an alert when the inmate’s custody status changes: release, transfer, or escape. It’s free and works by phone or email.
