Step 1: Go to inmatesearch.tarrantcounty.com.

Step 2: Enter the person’s full legal name. Try the exact name first. If no results come up, try a nickname, middle name as first name, or a different spelling.

Step 3: Review the results. The search will show the facility where the person is housed, confirming whether they’re at Green Bay or another Tarrant County location.

Step 4: Note the inmate ID number. You’ll need it to deposit money through Access Corrections and to address mail correctly.

If the Person Doesn’t Appear

Call the Tarrant County Detention Bureau at 817-884-3000. The person may have been recently booked and not yet entered into the system, transferred to a different facility, or released. Have their full legal name and date of birth ready when you call.
