Tarrant County Green Bay Facility follows the same visiting schedule as all five Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office detention facilities. Visit days are split by the inmate’s last name. Visits are 30 minutes each, with a maximum of three visits per week. You can bring up to two adults and two children per visit. All visitors 18 and older need a valid photo ID. A conservative dress code is strictly enforced. Visitor sign-up begins 30 minutes before visiting hours start, and visitors are not processed after 8:30 PM.

Visiting Schedule

All five Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office detention facilities share the same schedule. Your visit day depends on the first letter of the inmate’s last name.

Last names A through L:

  • Saturdays and Mondays, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (visitors not processed after 8:30 PM)
  • Fridays, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (visitors not processed after 2:30 PM)

Last names M through Z:

  • Sundays and Tuesdays, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (visitors not processed after 8:30 PM)
  • Fridays, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM (visitors not processed after 8:30 PM)

Attorney and law enforcement visits: Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Visit Limits

Each visit is 30 minutes. The maximum is three visits per week per inmate. You can bring up to two adults and two children (age 17 or younger) per visit. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

If you live more than 150 miles from Fort Worth city limits, you qualify for a 40-minute visit. You’ll need to show proof of residence at the time of the visit.

Visitors who have been in a Tarrant County detention facility within the past six months are not allowed to visit.

Photo ID Requirements

All visitors 18 and older must bring a valid photo ID. Accepted forms include a state-issued driver’s license or ID card, a US passport, military ID, or a Mexican Consulate card with photo. School IDs are accepted for visitors under 18.

Dress Code

A conservative dress code is strictly enforced. Visitors will be turned away for wearing prohibited clothing. Items not allowed include sleeveless tops, halter tops, backless tops, low-cut shirts or dresses, see-through garments, shorts above mid-thigh, spandex or tight-fitting pants, hats or caps, military or khaki-colored clothing, and pajamas.

Dress as you would for a professional setting. If you’re turned away for your clothing, you won’t be able to visit that day.

What to Leave at Home

You cannot bring tobacco, lighters, matches, cameras, cell phones, recording devices, backpacks, bags, or purses into the visitation area. No food or drinks, except items for infants. Prohibited items also apply during hospital visits.
