Lee Adjustment Center Visiting Hours, Schedule & Rules
Tuesday and Wednesday only, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. No weekend visits. Schedule rotates monthly by housing dorm.
Overview
Visits at Lee Adjustment Center happen on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. There are no weekend visits at LAC. This is different from most Kentucky state prisons, so plan ahead if your work schedule is Monday through Friday. The schedule rotates monthly by housing unit, so the specific week your loved one can have visitors depends on which dorm they’re assigned to. You must be on the approved visitor list before showing up. Call (606) 464-2866 to confirm the schedule before making the drive to Beattyville.

Visiting Days and Hours
Lee Adjustment Center holds visits on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Unlike most Kentucky prisons, LAC does not offer Saturday or Sunday visits.
If you work a traditional weekday schedule, you’ll need to take time off to visit. Call the facility at (606) 464-2866 before planning your trip to confirm there are no schedule changes, especially around holidays.
Monthly Rotation by Housing Unit
The visiting schedule at LAC rotates monthly based on which housing unit the inmate is assigned to. The facility has four main dorms: South, North, Lower North, and West. Each dorm gets its visiting week during the month.
Week 1 of the month: South Dorm. Week 2: North Dorm. Week 3: Lower North Dorm. Week 4: West Dorm.
Contact your loved one to find out which dorm they’re currently assigned to. Dorm assignments can change, so confirm before planning your visit.
Getting on the Approved Visitor List
You must be on the inmate’s approved visitor list before you can visit. The inmate submits a list of approved visitors, which the facility reviews. Processing takes time, so start the approval process as soon as your loved one arrives.
Bring a government-issued photo ID on the day of your visit. Expired IDs will not be accepted.
Children and Minors
Minors must be on the approved visitor list. They must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or another adult who has been approved by the facility. If the accompanying adult is not the minor’s parent or legal guardian, a notarized consent letter is required.
Contact Visits
Lee Adjustment Center allows contact visits. A brief embrace is permitted at the start and end of each visit. Physical contact beyond that is not permitted during the visit itself.
Visits for RHU and L-Wing Inmates
Inmates assigned to the Restrictive Housing Unit (RHU) or L-Wing have different visitation procedures. If your loved one is in either of these units, contact the facility before visiting to confirm whether visits are permitted and whether scheduling is required.
