Two Ways to Send Money

Two Bridges Regional Jail’s own website confirms two approved methods for adding money to an inmate’s account:

1. Lobby kiosk. Deposit cash or use a credit card at the kiosk inside the jail’s lobby.
2. Online through GTL’s ConnectNetwork. Create an account at web.connectnetwork.com, search for “Two Bridges Regional ME-Jail” (listed as Site ID 55), and deposit into the inmate’s trust fund account.

You can also use ConnectNetwork’s automated phone deposit line at (800) 483-8314. Have the Site ID (55) ready when you call.

Trust Fund vs. Debit Link. Two Separate Accounts

Two Bridges Regional Jail and GTL run two different account types, and it matters which one you fund:

• Trust fund (commissary) account: covers standard commissary purchases.
• Debit Link account: a separate balance used specifically to buy tablet subscriptions, including streaming music, the Game Center, eBooks, and the newsfeed, priced per subscription length (for example, a 30-day Game Center subscription runs $5.99 total with its service infrastructure charge, and a 30-day eBooks subscription runs $2.99 total).

If you deposit into the trust fund account expecting it to cover a tablet subscription, or the reverse, the inmate may not be able to use it for what you intended. Ask which account you’re funding when you deposit, whether at the kiosk or on ConnectNetwork.

Why You Can’t Mail Money Anymore

The jail’s website is direct about this: “NO MONEY IS TO BE SENT VIA THE MAIL!” and money orders are explicitly no longer accepted in the mail either. This applies to both the general facility address and the offsite mail-scanning P.O. Box used for personal letters and photos. If you mail cash or a money order to either address, it will not be applied to an inmate’s account, and there’s no confirmation from the jail’s own materials about whether it would even be returned. Use the kiosk or ConnectNetwork instead.

Posting Bail

Bail is handled separately from commissary deposits. The bail amount is set by court order, and most bails require cash only. If the bail is a surety, the jail will accept it, but you’re required to post a surety bond accompanied by a deed. Bail can be posted at the jail’s reception area 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A correctional officer verifies the paperwork and the amount at the booking window. A $60 charge is added for the bail commissioner’s fee, and the commissioner is called once you’ve counted out the cash for the booking officer.

Money and a Recent Transfer

If your family member was recently moved to Two Bridges Regional Jail from the Knox County Jail in Rockland, which now operates only as a 72-hour holding facility, any money on their Knox County account may not automatically transfer with them. Call (207) 882-4268 to confirm whether funds carry over or whether you’ll need to make a new deposit at Two Bridges directly.

Watch Out for Release-Fee Scams

No legitimate jail official, deputy, or officer will ever call asking for payment over the phone to release someone or resolve a warrant, and none will ask for gift cards, Venmo, or PayPal. If you get a call like this, hang up and call the jail directly at (207) 882-4268 to verify.
