How Visiting Works Here

Two Bridges Regional Jail runs all of its family and friend visiting through Renovo Video Visitation. This isn’t a phone call or an in-person room. You schedule a video session in advance, either to connect from a computer at home or from a video terminal at the jail itself, depending on which the facility offers on the day you book. There’s no walk-in visiting and no traditional glass-partition room for family visits described on the Jail Authority’s website.

Two Different Scheduling Links

This is worth flagging clearly: the jail’s own home page directs you to tbrj.gtlvisitme.com to schedule a visit, but its own FAQ page says to schedule at tbrj.renovosoftware.com/app. Both are plausible, since GTL (now part of ViaPath Technologies) and Renovo are both video visitation platforms used across different facilities, and it’s possible the jail switched providers and one page wasn’t updated. We could not confirm which link is currently active from the Jail Authority’s own materials. Try the home page link, tbrj.gtlvisitme.com, first, since it appears prominently as the main “Schedule a Visit” button, and call (207) 882-4268, extension 1228, if it doesn’t work.

Visiting Hours

We could not find a specific published visiting hours schedule on the Two Bridges Regional Jail or Lincoln County websites. Some third-party inmate-lookup aggregator sites list Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a requirement to schedule at least 24 hours ahead and a limit of 2 visits per week at up to 30 minutes each. Since this isn’t confirmed directly from the Jail Authority’s own site, treat it as a starting point instead of a guarantee, and call (207) 882-4268, extension 1228, to confirm the current schedule before you plan around it.

Visitor Limits and What to Expect

• Up to 3 visitors per scheduled visit.
• One inmate per day. You cannot visit two different people at the facility on the same day.
• Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time so the officer on duty can process you into the system.
• Parents must supervise children at all times. Children are not to be left unattended anywhere on facility grounds.
• All visitors are subject to search before entering the facility for any in-person portion of a visit.
• Passing anything to an inmate during a visit ends the visit immediately.
• Disruptive behavior by an adult or a child also ends the visit.

Dress Code

Two Bridges Regional Jail’s published dress code applies to anyone coming to the facility in person:

• No hats or head coverings of any kind.
• No shorts, except for children under age 10.
• Dresses must be knee length.
• Shirts and dresses must have sleeves.
• No see-through clothing.
• No low-cut clothing, and shirts must reach past the belt line.
• No skintight clothing.
• No sandals without a heel and a heel strap.

What You Can’t Bring

The following items are not allowed inside the jail at any time:

• Weapons of any kind, including guns, knives, clubs, and mace.
• Tobacco products and lighters.
• Baby cribs, strollers, walkers, car seats, blankets, and baby bottles.
• Phones or pagers.
• Handbags or hand-held wallets.
• Briefcases, clipboards, notebooks, books, magazines, pictures, cameras, or any recording or playing device.
• Food or drink.
• Coats, jackets, sweaters, or hats.

Contact During a Visit

The jail’s rules describe a short hug and kiss at the start and end of a contact visit as permitted, with no other physical contact during the visit itself. Since all standard family and friend visiting is done through Renovo Video Visitation instead of an in-person contact room, this rule applies mainly to attorney visits and any other in-person visit type the facility may arrange. Confirm with staff whether any in-person contact visiting is currently available for family before assuming it is.

Reasons a Visit Can Be Denied

• Being on current bail conditions.
• Pending criminal charges.
• A protection order.
• An active arrest warrant for the visitor.
• Being currently under supervision of probation and parole.
• Having been released from Two Bridges Regional Jail custody within the last 60 days.
• Any known conviction for trafficking in prison contraband.

Attorney Visits

Attorneys and their representatives who are active members of the Maine Bar Association get more flexibility than family and friend visitors. They’re permitted unlimited visits during normal waking hours, and video legal visits are not recorded. Legal visits can also be done on site in a professional visits room or a non-contact visits room. All visitors, including attorneys, are subject to search before entering the facility.

Visitors Under 18

Anyone under 18 is not permitted to visit an inmate, whether by video visitation, internet visitation, or contact visitation, unless accompanied by their parent or legal guardian for the entire visit.

If Someone Was Arrested in Knox County

Since January 1, 2026, Knox County has sent its inmates to Two Bridges Regional Jail under a one-year housing agreement, since the Knox County Jail in Rockland now operates only as a 72-hour holding facility. Handbook and Visitor Application Form. What We Found

We checked specifically for two things, as we do for every facility. Two Bridges Regional Jail does not have a downloadable inmate or family handbook PDF on the Jail Authority’s website. There’s also no separate paper visitor application. Since all visiting runs through Renovo Video Visitation, you create an account and schedule directly online through the visitation scheduling link, without a separate in-person registration step described anywhere on the site.
