Phone Calls at Clermont County Jail

Clermont County Jail uses CPC (Combined Public Communications). Set up a direct pay account at inmatesales.com, accept collect calls, or buy the inmate a phone card at the lobby kiosk.

Overview

Clermont County Jail uses Combined Public Communications (CPC) for all inmate phone calls. Phones are in each housing unit and are available daily from 6 AM to 11 PM. Inmates make outbound calls only. You cannot call in and be connected to a specific inmate. There are three ways calls can be billed: direct pay (prepaid account you set up), collect (charged to your number), or prepaid calling cards the inmate buys from commissary. All calls are recorded and monitored.

How Phone Calls Work at Clermont County Jail

Housing units have phones available every day from 6 AM to 11 PM. The inmate dials out. You cannot call in and ask to speak to a specific person. Telephone messages are not relayed to inmates unless there is a verifiable family emergency.

Calls go through Combined Public Communications (CPC) at cpcjail.com. There are three billing options, each suited to different situations.

The direct pay option lets the inmate call your cell phone or landline without collect call billing. To set it up:

  1. Go to inmatesales.com and create an account.
  2. Register the phone number you want to receive calls on.
  3. Fund the account so calls can connect.

Once your account is active, calls from Clermont County Jail will route to your registered number and draw down your balance. You can also buy the inmate a $5, $10, or $20 phone card at the kiosk in the jail’s South Lobby, which works similarly.

Call CPC at 859-441-5554 if you need help setting up your account.

Option 2: Collect Calls

Inmates can make collect calls to landlines. Collect calls are billed directly to the receiving number. Check with your phone carrier to confirm your line accepts collect calls. Many cell phone plans do not accept collect billing, which is why direct pay is often a better option for families using cell phones.

Option 3: Prepaid Calling Cards from Commissary

Inmates can buy prepaid phone cards from commissary in denominations of $2, $5, $10, and $20. These cards allow calls to cell and landline numbers without requiring the receiving party to set up an account. This is a convenient option for the inmate, but it requires money on their commissary account first. See the Send Money guide to fund the account.
