NC DAC facilities, including Davidson Correctional Center, use ViaPath/ConnectNetwork (GTL) for money deposits. You can deposit online at ConnectNetwork.com, by phone, through Western Union, or by money order. Every deposit needs the person’s full legal name and OPUS number. Money funds commissary purchases, phone time through ViaPath/GTL, and other authorized purchases. Only approved visitors may deposit funds.
NC DAC uses ViaPath/ConnectNetwork for all money deposits to Davidson Correctional Center. You have four options depending on what is most convenient.
Go to ConnectNetwork.com and create a free account. Search for Davidson Correctional Center, enter the person’s full legal name and OPUS number, choose a deposit amount, and pay with a debit or credit card. Fees vary by amount, ranging from $2.48 to $8.16 for online transactions. The fee is shown before you confirm.
Deposits typically post within a few hours. This is the fastest option.
Call the Trust line at 888-428-1845 to make a deposit by phone. For AdvancePay deposits, call 800-483-8314. Have the person’s full legal name, OPUS number, and your payment information ready. Phone fees range from $3.27 to $8.95 depending on the amount.
Send money through Western Union using code NCDAC TRUST. A $3.00 fee applies. You can send through a Western Union location or online at westernunion.com. You need the person’s full legal name and OPUS number.

Money orders have no service fee. Write the person’s full legal name and OPUS number on the memo line. This is the slowest option but costs nothing extra beyond the face value.
Every deposit method requires the person’s full legal name exactly as it appears in NC DAC records, and their OPUS number. If you do not have the OPUS number, find it with the NC OPI inmate search. A deposit without the correct OPUS number can be delayed or returned.
Only people who are on the approved visitor list may deposit funds. If you have not completed the visitor application process yet, you may not be able to send money. Contact the facility at (336) 249-7528 if you have questions about eligibility.

The commissary and phone accounts may be linked or separate depending on how NC DAC manages the account. If the resident tells you phone calls are not connecting, make sure the account has funds available.

If the resident transfers to a different NC DAC facility, funds in the trust account typically transfer with them. Contact ConnectNetwork support at 877-650-4249 to confirm if funds are not showing at the new facility.
