Bail & Bond at Mesquite Police Jail

Class C fines at Mesquite Municipal Court. Felony bonds at Dallas County Sheriff.

Overview

Getting someone out of Mesquite Police Jail depends entirely on the charge. Class C misdemeanors — the most common reason people end up here — are handled at Mesquite Municipal Court and can be paid by cash or card. Felonies and Class A/B misdemeanors are a different process entirely: those go through the Dallas County Sheriff’s bond desk in Dallas.

Quick Facts

  • Arraignments happen daily between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM — bond amount is set or confirmed then.
  • Class C misdemeanors: pay at Mesquite Municipal Court, 211 Municipal Way, Mon–Fri business hours.
  • Class C payments accepted by cash or credit card (Mastercard, Visa, Discover).
  • Felony / Class A-B: Dallas County Sheriff bond desk, 111 West Commerce St, Dallas — open 24/7.
  • Jail credit: $100 per day toward Mesquite Class C fines while waiting.

Step One: Find Out the Charge Type

Check the [live Mesquite jail roster](/facility-guides/tx/mesquite-police-jail-tx/inmate-search/) at apps.cityofmesquite.com/police_web/jail/index.php. It shows the charges and bond amount for everyone currently in custody. The bond amount listed is what was set at arraignment. If the amount shows $0.00, either no bond has been set yet or the charge qualifies for time-served credit.

Arraignments happen every morning between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, so if someone was arrested overnight, the bond amount may not be set until the next morning.
